Edyta Tulewicz-Marti

I graduate from the Medical University of Warsaw in 2006. I completed my postgraduate internship and first experience in medicine at the Praski Hospital and Children’s Memorial Health Institute ( Instytut-Pomnik Centrum Zdrowia Dziecka) in Warsaw, and then specialized in gastroenterology at the Gastroenterology Department at the Arnau de Vilanova University Hospital, Lleida (Lérida). ) and the Liver Transplant Unit (Unidad de Transplante Hepático), Bellvitge University Hospital, Barcelona, Spain.

I defended my thesis in 2021. for the work entitled “The influence of parenteral iron supplementation in patients with inflammatory bowel diseases on calcium and phosphate metabolism”

More about me

Currently, I work in the Department of Gastroenterology and Internal Diseases at the National Medical Institute of the Ministry of Interior and Administration in Warsaw as a senior assistant.

I am a member of the European Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn’s Disease Society (ECCO), the European Union of Endoscopists (ESGE) and the Polish Society of Gastroenterology (PTG).

My passion is my work, but in particular endoscopy of the upper and lower digestive tract, as well as the use of ultrasound in digestive tract diseases. I am particularly interested in helping and researching IBD diseases, calcium-phosphate metabolism disorders and anaemia in the context of gastroenterological diseases.
